Counselor Pilot

Help families move with confidence.

We are currently identifying our first 1-2 counselors for the pilot phase. The counselor is the core guide for the family and the delivery system for Weldon's Method.

What the Role Is

The counselor is the core guide for the family.

A Weldon's Method counselor helps families interpret their situation, choose the next focus, sustain momentum, and adjust the plan as real life unfolds.

  • +Helps understand student baseline and family constraints.
  • +Guides the next learning node or weekly focus.
  • +Supports documentation, reflection, and practical adjustment.
  • +Builds confidence and connection, not dependency.

What It Is Not

This is not primarily a tutoring role.

The counselor is not a generic tutor, school administrator, curriculum salesperson, or substitute parent. The role is closer to a family guide operating inside a structured learning loop.

  • -Not a traditional school job posting.
  • -Not just subject-matter tutoring.
  • -Not a script-following customer support role.
  • -Not a one-size-fits-all curriculum recommendation role.

Core Weekly Rhythm

How counselors help families move.

Understand

Review student baseline, family constraints, recent friction, and available capacity.

Choose

Identify the next node, focus, habit, or support action that best fits the family.

Support

Encourage learning, clarify expectations, and help the family stay oriented.

Review

Look at documentation, progress evidence, and what actually happened during the week.

Adjust

Update the plan so it remains realistic, grounded, and useful for the household.

Ideal Candidate Traits

Warm, structured, mission-driven people.

Relational

Builds trust quickly

Families need a steady guide who listens carefully and can lower anxiety without becoming vague.

Analytical

Sees constraints clearly

The best counselors can distinguish the apparent problem from the actual blocker.

Operational

Turns care into next steps

Encouragement matters, but the family also needs a practical weekly plan they can execute.
